CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Cape Girardeau firefighters provided a blast of neat aid for young children wanting to escape the heat on Friday afternoon, August 5.
The Cape Girardeau Hearth Office rolled out the hoses, not to put out a hearth, but to neat off some neighborhood children.

Firefighter Marcus Johnson joined in the fun.
“I enjoy it, which is why I’m out right here hoping to interact with the young children and interact with the families because which is what it is all about,” he said.
Johnson reported it was the ideal day to appreciate a chilly h2o spray.
“What we’re striving to do is just get the neighborhood extra energetic,” he explained. “We want to permit them know that we’re below as a hearth department, we’re right here as a, just as firemen striving to be a illustration for our local community, just making an attempt to get the neighborhood and the youngsters to have enjoyable. That is what it is all about.”
